Let's give this blog some direction.

First, let me say WELCOME!  I'm so glad you are here.  Being here and reading this means that you want to know more about the importance of reading to your child.  I hope that you enjoy every aspect of this site and your participation will make it even more rich.  Here's what the plan is and it is subject to change...
1. Share...I want us to share our experiences with reading in our past, with our children and our plans for their future.
2.  Explore...I want to give examples of literacy goals and instruction that is usable for parents among different age levels from Neonatal to Middle Grades.
3.  Learn...we all have something to learn about the importance of reading!
4. Engage...let's look out into our communities to see what it has to offer for our children.  There are so many resources that are available that many may not have discovered.  So, let us all take what is available, what we have and put it to use!

Hi Aimee

Great blog!

Did I ever mention that my BA was in English and my Masters in Contemporary Literature and that my PhD examined book behaviour and book choice in pre-school children :)
